Disciplined Entrepreneurship
I read a really good article about entrepreneurship that I would recommend to anyone looking to take a disciplined approach to an otherwise chaotic process. The core idea is to systematically identify unknowns and to design experiments to demystify them. Coupled with Bruce Scott's (a founder of Oracle) list of questions every entrepreneur needs to answer before they can be successful, you pretty much have the structure for what to do the first year of creating a new venture.
